View Full Version : ATI Catalyst 9.12 hotfix

Installed catalyst 9.12 and had problems with full screen where it was flashing all the time . It was fine in windowed mode but have a 24 inch screen at 1920 x 1200 and like to be able to use it all :D

There is a hotfix for this issue should anyone else experience it and you can get it at the following url :

Fixes for the following issues:




Resident Evil 5 – Performance drop during the opening cinematic
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 – Performance drop observed with a supported ATI CrossFireX™ configuration when using the thermal scope
Wheelman – Game freezes while loading the game menu
Flashing in various OpenGL titles – City of Heroes, Enemy Territories: Quake Wars, Riddick
Heaven benchmark (DirectX 9 mode) – Grass flickers and white boarders observed around the edges
ATI Radeon™ HD 5970 Series, ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 Series, and ATI Radeon™ HD 5700 Series – issue with HDMI: DTS-HD and Dolby True-HD not working properly with certain receivers
The desktop mouse cursor becomes enlarged at random when using Windows 7

It also works to fix the problem :D as I have now tested it .

was gonna say i bought a AIT long time ago think it was like a 3600HD not which hotfix it was but i had alot of probs to get it to run with my old game..i gave up :P think thats just the thing with the budget grapichs tempermenal with some games....

I have Radeon 4870 which will stay for a while . My last card was nvidia 8800 gtx , before that nvidia x2 7900 (I think) . Gave those to my nephew . I am neither a nvidia or ATI fanboy but right now for price/performance there is only ATI as nvidia have nothing to compete with the 5000 series ATI's at all pricepoints tbh . Perhaps a nvidia 260 if you can find one is a good buy for a budget pc but really nvidia are very slow in answering ATI at the moment .

The hotfix above applies only if you have installed catalyst 9.12 drivers because they messed up .

yeah i had the raden 3650 Hd but it was awful so i got a umm i think its a nvidia 9600GT with 1 gig ram on it deff 1 gig ram
