Never contacted them, never will coz I got all OEM's OS and them support goes through the retailer you bought it from.
And they do nothing more then selling carton boxes.
Who want support from MS anyway.....:))))))

That is imo not totally correct.
On Xp with SP3 and Vista with SP1 or SP2 installed still get security update/patches and support.

Microsoft is sounding the support warning bell a few months early for customers who are running Windows XP Service Pack (SP) 2, Vista (with no service packs applied) and Windows 2000.

On April 13, 2010, Windows Vista with no service packs installed will reach the end of support. End of support means there will be no more security updates for this version, though customers who are on SP1 or SP2 will continue to receive security updates and support.

On July 13, 2010, Windows XP SP2 and all versions of Windows 2000 also will reach the end-of-support milestone. In addition, Microsoft will be ending support for Windows Server 2000 and moving Windows Server 2003 from the Mainstream Support phase to the Extended Support phase. (Extended means security updates remain free, but all other support is paid.)

Or do I miss something here? :rolleyes:

If you run a legit Windows install of Xp or Vista, what's the reason not to have the latest SP installed?
So none legit user will be affected if you ask me. :))))))

You are correct, it only applies to vista without any service packs applied and XP without service pack 3 . As you know, some folks won't install service packs for some reason :)

Well i will be ok as im on Xp SP3 inoino i should upgrade but i like Xp and im happy with it i dont get no probs so thats that :D

Well i would like to get Windows 7 but it will afect my computers memory too much i only have 2 gig DDR 2 or 3 ram i cant rember and i will not buy any more unless i really need it e:g if support ends for xp sp3 then i will get more memory and windows 7 untill then i shall just wait another 4 years....... As i am lazy en all
