I'll more than likely play stand alone for an hour or so to get a feel for the controls (should be standard format tho) but I have no intention of jumping straight into multiplayer with you, I know your evul ways all too well:))))))

Right then down to business.

First thing, the manual with QW is utter crap. Can someone explain how the XP system works, as it says in the manual "your rank, XP and upgrades are reset at the end of every round in objective and stopwatch games" so, I gained nothing from playing all night last night?

Do I need to go and rank up on a different server, not playing objective or stopwatch games?

I had a PM in game, but nowhere does it tell you how to retrieve them, any hint?

There's a few other things, but I'm sure I'll figure those out as I go.

ok dastardly to try to answer a few of your queries

firstly the ranking system basically the server runs a set of 4 campaigns each campaign consists of 3 maps your ingame acheivements i;e weapon upgrades and xtra abilities and points all count towards your global rankings and acheivements your achievements are by way of medals earned for doing objectives and completing ingame missions however during gameplay at the end of each campaign whatever upgrades you have aqquired will be reset, this is to get away from the problem that was evident in bf games where someone like urself that is new to game would not have a hope in hell of doing very good as everybody would be running around with an uber kit and you would only have the shit kit with etqw everyone starts the campaign on a even keel so the supreme commander has the same weapon loadout as the conscript.

but all your efforts during the campaign are recorded into a global ranking system which contributes to your rank i;e conscript, sergeant, supreme commander etc. to gain ranks do objectives and complete ur ingame missions, a quick way of checking ur mission would be to press tab to show scores and along side your name will be a mission/objective so eg: if you are a covert ops your mission maybe to hack the enemy deployable or deploy a radar for completeing these missions you are rewarded with extra points that contribute to your global rank and also in game for the entirety of the current campaign.

Selfkill Public Ranked is a ranked server by ranked it means that what points missions you acheive are recorded and added to your global rank btw rank No1 is only the person with the highest global xp and nothing more it has nothing to do with how many objectives or missions you have completed.

for checking in game messages press escape whilst in game and click play online (which will have a yellow warning triangle next to it when u have unread messages) you will see a list of buddies you have added or that have added you that you have accepted along side the person who has sent you a pm will be like a little notepad this indicates that they have sent you a ingame message double click that person and it will open a message box allowing you to read and send in game messages.

click on your history m8 it will be in there if you have visited it if it isnt check your filters
